Jorge R. Gutierrez is a painter based in Mexico, creating work rooted in original paintings and mixed-media work. Paintings blend expressive colour, texture, and subject matter into artwork with strong visual impact on the wall.

Born in Mexico City and raised in Tijuana, Gutierrez has completed various films, cartoons, illustrations and paintings exploring his love affair with Mexican pop and folk culture. Gutierrez attended the California nstitute of the Arts (CalArts), where he received his BFA & MFA in Experimental Animation under Jules Engel.
